It’s Sticker Day! (shop here)
I think of small art like this, the kind I can take with me, as joy in my pocket. It’s become important to me to have physical things close to me that signal understanding and compassion for myself and make the world feel a little softer.
I spend a lot of time online these days, in a blizzard of images and anxieties and ideas. Art has become the antidote: I can choose the concepts and stories that I want to surround me.
Things that may or may not feel like some aspirational aesthetic, but that feel like me.
Art that can communicate important things to people around me, without having to explain myself.
Art that reminds me of what I know about myself, of who I am and where I’ve been.
Art that holds lessons that took me years to learn, and still sometimes escape me.
And art that holds up a light to where I am going.
I hope this series of small pieces offers a bit of this back to you.
Love you all.
