I want to show you something.
I want to show you something.
After years of hoping to ✨someday✨ paint big, can’t-miss-it, wall-sized art, I started doing it.
I’ve been hesitating for all the reasons I usually do. I started small, working out the feel on my paints on the raw canvas.
I spent two weeks building up stretcher bars and stapling the fabric taut. Elsa helped.
And now, I’ve begun. It felt like a big risk, to show up at my own doorstep like this, to see if it would work out being who I want to be. Half way through my first pour I heard myself think, “I’ll be doing this for rest of my life.” I hope I’m lucky enough to.
This weekend is the end of the 15% off sale, so if you’ve had your eye on anything, stop by the shop soon (on or before Sunday 4/17 to be specific). Use code LIGHT15 for 15% off all prints (or join us on patreon for 20% off + a $10 off code 🤩).

I write in depth about my approach to creative practice and painting at Easy Does It. It’s a community for people interested in making marks, whether you’re at a stage of wanting to watch how another artist does it, or if you’re interested in trying out the ideas yourself, building or evolving your own creative process. You can see how it works here, read some of the posts here, and join us here. It’s a lot of fun 🥰
