Recently, when it is late-night, when everyone has left me to sleep and the deep dark holds us in while the rain free falls everywhere — I’ve been coming into a quiet and thrilling interest in life. It’s find-an-extra-pillow-and-read-the-whole-book energy. It’s painting by candlelight and daydreaming to moonlight, it’s opening 24 tabs of the cutest dog clothes on the internet while eating cookies. It’s fun.
Earlier this week I wrote that for every piece of art I make about heartbreak, I hope to make at least one about contentment and that’s what I’m looking for out of my middle-of-the-nights too.
So, I’m low on sleep but enjoying myself. And now it’s holidaytime and I’m making big sweeping movements to clear room for as much of this this kind of cozy+happy as possible.
One thing I’m excited about is this: THE BIG Holiday Sticker Drop is this week (!!)
Patrons will get first dibs (and 15% off, as always) on Monday Nov 7 at 10am PDT. Consider joining us - it’s the best deal for you as the customer and the most supportive way to keeping the art flowing over here.
Then, you, my dear newsletter friends will get the password to grab what you want from what’s left at 8am PDT on Tues Nov 8 before I open it up to the public a couple of hours later.
Set an alarm for the best selection! Favorites go fast.
Then, one week later, the new series of originals will be released in the same tiered sequence, just spanning Nov 14-15 instead. Shipping within the US will be included in the price of the art. If you are planning to purchase internationally, please contact me ahead of time for a shipping quote and to arrange how to buy.
Can I tell you one more thing?
Friends, I am so proud to say:
We made the new website! At last. At laaaaasstt.
If you want to see it, it’s live at britchida.com. I’m so appreciative of everyone who has sent me feedback, and I would love to hear how your user experience is, especially if there’s anything that needs fixing. Or if you love it, I’m definitely open to hearing that too.
I released 3 new prints this morning, some of my favorite work from 2022. Here they are. Click the photos to view more.
When my body says rest, I say, how quiet? how long? how soft?
Sending all my love!
Brit
ps. as I continue to share a bit more, I made this little look at studio life and my pro saucing skills. enjoy!
"So Responsible" is the reason I became a patron- I work in social services, and it hangs at my desk to remind me every single day to remind me.
