I’m writing to you on the other side of the best holiday I can remember (scroll to the end for pics). I’ve gotten some genuine rest and fun and have now become a very laid back and optimistic person. Trading out writing Instagram posts for night sledding was a revelation and I’m acting on it:
I’m closing the shop for a while (at least a month?), starting tomorrow. So if there are any pieces you’d like, now’s the time to pick them up.
Also, this is last chance for the handful of stickers and greeting cards that are left. A mix of new and some restocks will come next Sticker Day (probably midsummer).
I do not plan to relist some of the originals that are up, so it’s last chance there as well.
I want to paint more and I want to connect more, so I am no longer putting off my online art-making community that I’ve been planning and dreaming up for years. I’ve got stacks of notes and plans and I’m ready. It will be a warm guided space to use your supplies, make your marks, ask your creative questions and explore some answers. Art that feels honest, satisfying, tactile and personal is what I’ve spend years learning to make and I’m excited to share my perspectives with you. Consider joining us in January if this is something you’d like to try. You can respond to this email letting me know you’re interested and I’ll be in touch.
Here are some pieces that I’m feeling as we begin 2022:
Elsa, the napping icon, on holiday:
If Elsa ever sleeps like this while resting her soft back along your leg, you are very lucky.
There is such a thing as too much fun. In case of over-stimulation, try to find a cozy, hidden spot.
Happy New Year friends.
Love,
Brit, Danielle, Elsa
I'm definitely very interested in the online art making community! Count me in :D
