Hello!
Instagram is down big time and so I thought I’d send you the art I was planning to share today, and a $5 off code as a thanks for connecting with me away from the fickle algorithms. I appreciate you SO MUCH. Use code BIRDSONG5 at britchida.com for a $5 credit toward any purchase.
And if you know someone who’d still want to see my art if Instagram died forever (or who’d like the $5), I’d love it if you’d share this newsletter with them.
Ok, on to the art!
Algorithm-Free Art
I decided to try to make a diagram every day for the month of October. I’d noticed that I was starting to worry about whether my ideas were good enough and I kept hesitating to make anything. So, as always, I’m reaching to quantity over quality for some creative freedom. Here’s what I made last night, and tried to share today before the internet broke:
DAY 3, “WHAT DID IT”
I was happy last night and thought: it seemed like I needed so much, when all I needed was a dog.
So this becomes one of my many stories about happiness / which comes and goes / which is deeply rooted / and fragile / clear and / mysterious
Here’s the picture of me and my dog, happy:
DAY 2, “A GOOD DAY”
Hope you have a good day - don’t dig too deep!
DAY 1, “ALMOST DONE”
I don’t know where my ideas of how long things should take coke from but they are messing me up!
Thanks for reading along! Hope you enjoy the extra time today without the facebook overlords taking their cut. :)
Love
Brit
Your post is actually the one that is “stuck” on my Instagram feed. :)
